About This Game

Diving into the game industry in less than five years, the game studio from Malang, Indonesia, Shireishi Production, is set to release their latest game soon, How to Die: A Hope Beneath, a dark puzzle platformer that will be available on Steam.


In this game, players take on the role of a mysterious Cube that has fallen into a cave. After wandering around and searching for a way out, there appears to be only one way to "escape"—by jumping into a spiked pit and dying, which surprisingly triggers the next mysterious adventure within the world of How to Die.


While most puzzle games require players to survive, How to Die challenges them to do the opposite—find a way to end the character’s life to advance to the next level. The goal of the game is to solve puzzles and discover various unique and absurd ways to die. However, as the story progresses, the protagonist slowly uncovers clues and information about why they are trapped in the strange and mysterious world of How to Die. Despite its dark-themed gameplay, How to Die balances this with comedic elements in the various ways the character dies.


The game features four main chapters, each with its own unique theme and level design that will undoubtedly challenge players' puzzle-solving skills. Additionally, the game has a mysterious storyline about the protagonist's past, which is equally intriguing to follow.
